Found the answer on another forum. I assume it's correct.

The a's are long like in the word "canal" and it's just "Nath-rack" or if you want to get technical, you can roll your r's and say it more like "Noth-rock" like Merlin did. It's actually a spell Merlin says in a movie. They have the clip at the beginning of one of their songs. Not sure which one though.

Wykked Wytch are kind of special in that they're a Gothic Extreme/Black Metal band with a fugly lookin' female vocalist who does NO clean vocals; their keyboards (which I don't think are even on this album) are hardly noticeable, and they covered "Sweet Dreams" by the Eurythmics without sounding like a trendy pop band. Seriously, the transformation that cover takes is comparable to Nevermore turning "The Sound of Silence" into a Prog-Thrash epic.

Here's the first album that feels more like avant-garde Thrash/Death than anything I just described.

This, another band from India, is possibly the best Goregrind (oxymoron?) I've ever heard. The style of songwriting incorporates the use of guitar squeals as if THEY were vocal lines, while the actual vocals provide more of an atmosphere much in the way keyboards are used in some melodic black metal. The riffing is very technical and fast, basically dancing closely around the drums and hitting like a wall of sound. I don't if I'm just describing every goregrind album ever, but this is some fuckedest assed shit....

Catchy and headbangable as well.

This is the latest album from an apparently fantastic Doom band notorious for originality within the genre. Whoa, boy, is this cool. Vektor is a technical Thrash group from Tempe, Arizona (located in the United States of Earth). They wear bullet belts, long hair, artificially rugged looking clothes and they don't appear to ever bathe (probably something they went out of their way to make obvious so as to give off the impression that they have better things to do than groom).

Aside from irrelevant information that I only wrote to fill space, This is probably the best Thrash album of th.... of last year. Taking clearly apparent influence from Thrash juggernauts, Voivod, Vektor has geared their music towards science fiction and the betterment of humanity through 68 minutes of ludricrously intricate and well written progressive riffing and melodies. 3 of the songs are beyond 10 minutes in length, and all feature lead singer, David Disanto's, moderately hilarious, yet awesome, black metal/falsetto vocals. Should you find David's vocals too akin to Dani Filth's (of COF infamy), take comfort in knowing that David is also playing guitar while he sings, making him much cooler than Dani in every respect.

It should also be noted that nobody in the band wears makeup, because they are not women or homosexuals.

The experiment was a resounding success! I'm still alive and only suffering minor internal hemorrhaging, severe blood poisoning, memory loss and there's some discoloration and numbness on the right side of my body. The music is great! If you like your power metal a little heavier and plodding, While Heaven Wept is exactly what you've been looking for. It is essentially Epic Power/Doom Metal.

EDIT: upon review of Metal Archive's page on the band, it seems a lot of time and pain could have been saved by simply looking at the genre classification therein.

"Hellbilly Deluxe II: Noble Jackals, Penny Dreadfuls and the Systematic Dehumanization of Cool" is likely Rob Zombie's final studio album before he devotes himself fully to film and other projects. Depressive Black/Doom is the genre. It's absolutely hilarious. After 5 minutes of the same mid paced melancholy riff with the occasional blood curdling scream of pain in a distant or partitioned recording space, I was sold. I would actually recommend this to fans of Agalloch, as, apart from the comical sounds of torture, the atmosphere is very similar. The way the main riff just goes on and on while other melodies spiral in and out of the mix is very beautiful and easy to get lost in; just don't expect it to sound as clean as Agalloch.
